Odessa Police Asking for Public's Help with Deadly Conduct Investigations

Odessa Police Investigating Shooting at High Plains Apartments

On 2-5-18 at approximately 1241 hours, Odessa Police responded to 3727 Andrews Highway (High Plains Apartments) in reference to shots being fired. Upon arrival, officers made contact with four complainants, who advised they heard several shots being fired and felt something strike their vehicle while they were sitting inside of it. Damage was observed on the bottom rear bumper near the exhaust. Multiple casings and bullets were located in the apartment complex. There were no reports of any injuries.

Officers made contact with a fifth complainant, who advised that a bullet entered his apartment and struck the wall in the dining room before ricocheting onto the dining room table and floor. Officers observed a bullet hole in the wall of the apartment. There were no reports of any injuries. Several witnesses reported seeing a fight in the apartment complex right before the shooting occurred. The suspects then entered a white 2014 GMC Sierra and white 2011 Chevrolet sedan.

The white 2014 GMC Sierra began chasing the white 2011 Chevrolet sedan around the apartment complex with a black male shooting several rounds out of the passenger window of the truck. Investigation revealed that there was at least four suspects involved. The first suspect is described as a black male in his early 20’s, approximately 6’2” tall and weighing 140 pounds. The second suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his late 20’s, approximately 5’5” tall and weighing 160 pounds.

The third suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his early 20’s, approximately 5’1” tall and weighing 130 pounds. The fourth suspect is described as a black male in his early 20’s, approximately 5’11” tall and weighing 180 pounds. Odessa Police Investigating Shooting at Arbor Terrace Apartments

On 2-5-18 at approximately 1825 hours, Odessa Police responded to 1101 Fitch (Arbor Terrace Apartments) in reference to shots being fired. Upon arrival, officers made contact with several complainants, who advised that someone had fired rounds at their apartment. The suspects fled the scene in a gray 2000-2004 Nissan Sentra. Officers observed damage on the back window and wall of the apartment.

There were no reports of any confirmed injuries. One of the suspects is described as a black male in his late teens, approximately 5’7” tall and weighing 200 pounds.
