Traffic Stop & Search Warrant Lead to Arrest of 3 Subjects
Odessa Police arrested Jason Dwight Waller, date of birth 05/11/1989, on 8-3-18 at approximately 1112 hours for Evading Arrest with a Prior Conviction “State Jail Felony”, Burglary of a Building (Warrant) “State Jail Felony”, and for two misdemeanor warrants. Odessa Police also arrested Wendy Dawn Nading, date of birth 09/03/1973, for Harboring Apprehension or Prosecution of a Felon “3rd Degree Felony”.
Odessa Police also arrested Thomas Ray Johnson, date of birth 08/02/1971, for Possession of a Controlled Substance “State Jail Felony”, Forgery “State Jail Felony”, and Bail Jumping & Failure to Appear “State Jail Felony”. Officers observed a green Honda Element in the 3700 block of Holley displaying a license plate that belonged to a red 2001 Chevrolet truck.
A traffic stop was conducted on the Honda Element and a male subject exited and immediately evaded officers by running into a residence located in the 3700 block of Holley. A perimeter was set up and a search warrant was obtained for the residence. Officers executed the search warrant and located three subjects inside, identified as Waller, Nading, and Johnson.
Investigation revealed that Nading had harbored multiple wanted felons. Waller had a felony warrant for burglary of a building and a prior conviction for evading. Johnson had three felony warrants for possession of a controlled substance, forgery, and bail jumping & failure to appear. All three subjects were charged and arrested accordingly and transported to the ECLEC.
