Man Found with 44 Grams of Cocaine after Evading Officers during Traffic Stop

Odessa Police arrested Adolfo Christopher Llanez, date of birth 02/19/1987, on 5-8-18 at approximately 2142 hours for Manufacture or Delivery of Cocaine “1st Degree Felony”, Tampering with Physical Evidence “3rd Degree Felony”, Evading Arrest or Detention with a Prior Conviction “SJF”, and Possession of Marijuana “Class B Misdemeanor”.

Officers observed a dark colored vehicle speeding southbound on McKnight. A traffic stop was conducted on the listed vehicle in the 300 block of Crockett. The front passenger, later identified as Llanez, immediately exited the vehicle and ran into a residence while throwing an item onto the floor. Llanez was caught and placed into custody.

Officers retrieved the item in the kitchen, which was a bag containing approximately 44 grams of cocaine. Llanez was also found to be in possession of marijuana. Dispatch advised that Llanez had a prior conviction for evading. Llanez was charged and arrested accordingly and transported to the Ector County Law Enforcement Center.

Man Arrested after Punching & Choking Girlfriend during Domestic Disturbance

Odessa Police arrested Robert Gonzalez Jr., date of birth 01/16/2001, on 5-7-18 at approximately 2330 hours for Assault by Strangulation (Family Violence) “3rd Degree Felony”. Officers responded to 7261 Tres Hermanas (Marriott Residence Inn) in reference to an assault victim. Upon arrival, officers made contact with a 19-year-old female and her boyfriend, identified as Gonzalez.

Investigation revealed that after both subjects got into an argument over money, Gonzalez pulled his girlfriend’s hair, slapped her and punched her on the right side of her face. Gonzalez then placed both of his hands around his girlfriend’s neck and began to apply pressure, making her unable to breathe.

Officers observed bodily injury on the girlfriend’s neck, arms and face. When officers made contact with Gonzalez, he admitted to assaulting his girlfriend. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, Gonzalez was charged and arrested accordingly and transported to the ECLEC.
